Born and raised in Georgia, Ali has grown and cultivated her love of art and science throughout her life there. Having been surrounded by a family of doctors, medicine has always been a keen interest of hers, and her passion for drawing and painting was innate. After years of sketching and painting any living thing that caught her eye, she began her formal training as an artist at the University of Georgia as a fine arts major, and she soon learned about the field of medical illustration. She was hooked. Ali received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Scientific Illustration in 2014. Knowing she wanted to continue to pursue more knowledge and training to become a professional artist, she went on to earn her Masters of Science in Medical Illustration from Augusta University.
With a passion for patient and student education, she uses her skills in illustration, animation, and 3D digital modeling to design creative solutions for visual communication problems in the field of health sciences.
